If you have found your way to this page, something inside you is asking to be heard. Perhaps you have spent years holding everything together for everyone else while quietly coming apart inside. Perhaps the people who were meant to keep you safe were the ones who hurt you. Perhaps you cannot point to a single event, only a heaviness you have carried so long it has begun to feel like who you are.
Holina Healing Centre is a residential trauma and wellness retreat set in the forested hills of Khao Yai, around two hours from Bangkok. We are a place where women come to set things down, often for the first time in their lives, and begin the slow, honest work of coming home to themselves.
For many women, the experience of trauma is shaped not only by what happened, but by a lifetime of being asked to absorb, accommodate, and stay quiet. Healing that ignores this tends to miss the point entirely. At Holina, we work directly with this reality rather than asking you to think your way out of it.
From the first conversation, you will be met by people who understand trauma and who will never rush you, pressure you, or ask you to justify your need to heal. You decide how much to share and when.
For many women, being able to work with a woman is not a preference but a precondition for feeling safe. If that is true for you, simply let us know, and we will match you with a female therapist wherever possible.
Your accommodation is private and it is yours alone. A place to retreat to, to rest in, and to fall apart in if you need to, without an audience and without explanation. Solitude here is a resource, not isolation.
Your programme moves at the pace your nervous system can actually tolerate, with space to slow down, to pause, and to rest. Going gently is the only way the body genuinely learns to feel safe again.
Every woman's plan is tailored, and you are never asked to take part in anything that does not feel right for you.
Somatic therapy works with the body as the doorway to healing. It helps you notice the sensations, tensions, and patterns your body has been carrying, and supports your nervous system in finally releasing them.
Grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system moves between states of safety, alarm, and shutdown. This work helps your body relearn that felt sense of calm, gently widening your capacity to stay present without becoming overwhelmed.
There is profound healing in being truly heard, by someone who does not flinch, minimise, or look away. A confidential space to put words to your experience at your own pace, never judged or hurried toward a conclusion.
When action is interrupted or impossible, the energy of it can stay locked inside. Through guided, gentle movement, you can begin to discharge what has been held and reconnect with a sense of strength and agency in your own body.
The breath is one of the most direct ways we have of speaking to the nervous system. Conscious, connected breathing accesses and releases held emotion in a supported, contained setting, allowing feelings to move through and out.
Sound healing uses tone and vibration to settle the nervous system into deep rest. Aquatic tuning uses the support and warmth of water to help the body release tension and feel held in a way that words cannot achieve.
Alongside these, your programme may also draw on yoga therapy, therapeutic massage, mindfulness and meditation, nervous system regulation work, group therapy, and complementary supports such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV vitamin therapy, and Ayurvedic treatments, all woven together to support the whole of you.
Holina sits among the forested hills of Khao Yai, surrounded by green, by birdsong, and by the kind of quiet that is increasingly hard to find. Away from the noise and the constant low hum of being needed, the body finally has room to exhale.
This is not a large facility processing a steady stream of people. We keep our intake deliberately small so that you are known as a person, not a case, and so that the space never feels crowded or impersonal.
Time outdoors, contact with the forest, and the slow rhythm of the days all play an active part in helping the nervous system regulate. There is something in the steadiness of nature that the body recognises and responds to.
Nature is a reminder that life moves in cycles and that this season of pain is not the whole of your story. The setting itself becomes part of the work, quietly doing what no technique alone can do.
In these early days we ask nothing of you but to land. You rest, you begin to feel the safety of the place, and you let your guard down by small degrees. Many women are surprised by how much they simply sleep in the first week.
Once your system has settled enough to feel safe, we move, gently and always at your pace, into the heart of what brought you here. This is where the embodied therapies help you release what has been held.
We focus on consolidating what has shifted, building the tools to carry it forward, and beginning to imagine a life that is no longer organised around survival. This is where many women start to recognise themselves again.
Holina offers residential programmes of varying lengths, most commonly running across thirty, sixty, or ninety days, so the depth of your stay can be matched to the depth of what you are working through. We will talk this through with you honestly and help you choose the length that fits your circumstances rather than a fixed formula.
Holina is not exclusively women-only, and our intake includes both women and men. We keep our community small and our environment calm, we offer private accommodation, and we work carefully to ensure every woman here feels protected and respected throughout her stay.
Yes, absolutely, and many women do. If working with a woman is important to your sense of safety, simply tell us when you reach out and we will match you with a female therapist wherever possible. You never have to explain or justify it.
Then you do not have to talk. Many of our therapies work without words at all, through the body, the breath, and the senses. We move at the pace your nervous system can tolerate, and being received in safety is itself the beginning of healing.
No. If you are carrying pain that is affecting your life and your sense of yourself, that is reason enough. Our work is psychological and supportive in nature, focused on helping you process and recover, not on categorising you.
Yes. Many of the women who come to us are recovering from harm that happened inside their closest relationships, including coercive, controlling, and emotionally abusive dynamics. Our approach is designed with exactly this kind of recovery in mind.
Some women come for a focused reset and a chance to stabilise, while others stay longer to allow more profound and lasting change to take root. Longer stays give the nervous system the time it genuinely needs to relearn safety rather than simply pausing the stress.
All enquiries are completely confidential. No obligation. We respond personally.
